The township’s portion of the process, a zoning certificate, typically involves a one-page application, accompanied by construction drawings and a site plan drawn to scale. Once submitted, please allow five (5) working days to process your request.

After your zoning certificate has been obtained, please contact the Miami County Building Regulations Department at 937-440-8075 to receive instructions about completing the permitting process.
Cosmetic work, such as new roof shingles, sheds less than 200 sq. ft. or same-size window replacements, is exempt provided no structural alterations are made.
