Public Notice

Section 505.10 (D) of the Ohio Revised Code permits the Bethel Township Board of Trustees (“The Board”) to dispose of unneeded, obsolete, or unfit personal property which it determines to no longer be necessary for township use by internet auction. In order to dispose of said property by internet auction, the Board has established the following rules and conditions for the conduct of the internet auction.

Section 1: That the board finds that it intends to sell unneeded, obsolete or unfit personal property by internet auction during 2009.
Section 2: The Board intends to utilize the internet auction site Ebay.com to auction property.
Section 3: The Board has enacted the following rules and conditions for said internet auctions through Resolution 09-03-042:

1. That no actions taken by the Board to sell unneeded, obsolete or unfit personal property of the Township shall supersede the posers granted them by the Ohio Revised Code.
2.The auction time frame and all required notices and postings will be according to provisions of the Ohio Revised Code (505.10 D) concerning internet auction for unneeded, obsolete or unfit personal property of the Township.
3.All items available for sale will be posted on the Township’s website at www.betheltownship.org. The Township website will also contain a direct link to the EBay auction site.
4.All items will be sold “as is” and the Township makes no warranty as to condition of any item.
5.The Board reserves the right to withdraw any item from the auction at any point prior to the award of bid.
6.The Board reserves the right to establish a minimum price per auction item.
7.Products may be available for public inspection if practical and arrangements are made in advance.
8.Bids will only be accepted through EBay.com.
9.Successful bidder will be notified by not only the auction site, Ebay.com, but also by the Bethel Township Administrator. Payment will be by certified bank check only or through internet auction payment service Paypal.com.
10. The Board will not ship any item. All items shall be picked up by winning bidder at their own expense.
